The Fuquay-Varina Community Emergency Response Team (FV-CERT) has been invited again by the organizers of Run the Quay (RTQ) and the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce, to provide First Aid, Communications, and Pedestrian Management Support at the 2025 Run the Quay 5/10/15K Race in Fuquay-Varina, NC on Saturday, 7 JUNE 2025.

We are seeking additional NC-CERT volunteers (from any local team) interested in supporting this event.

CERT SCHEDULE:

• SAT., 7 JUNE 2025

— One Shift Available: 0500-1100 hours (5-11 a.m.)

LOCATION OF DUTY STATION:

Fuquay-Varina Presbyterian Church, Fellowship Hall Grounds

309 N. Ennis Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526

EXPECTATIONS OF CERT VOLUNTEERS:

• First Aid Support: Hand out band-aids, CPR, cold packs/towels, & support FVPD & FVFD.

• Comfort Station: Provide a shaded area with chairs for attendees and participants that need a break from the elements.

• Public Safety: Pedestrian Crossing & Crowd Management

• CERT/EVENT Communications

• Answer questions about the event (as needed) on behalf of Run the Quay (RTQ).
