The Downtown Rotary Club of Fuquay-Varina proudly supports the Fuquay-Varina Community Emergency Response Team (FV-CERT) as its organizational sponsor. And FV-CERT is proud to support the Rotary Clubs of FV with their Fuquay-Varina Flags for Heroes Display. During a three month period each year, a total of ~300 (3x5') flags are installed and proudly displayed in honor of our local heroes. FV-CERT provides assistance during the surveying and installation of the flag anchors, setup of the flags, weekly/bi-weekly lawn maintenance, technical support, numerous ceremonies held at the site/display, and eventual demobilization and inventory of the display.

EXPECTATIONS OF CERT VOLUNTEERS (ACTIVITY DEPENDENT):

• Digging/Drilling of ~300 Flag Anchor Holes (Date TBD)

• Inspection/Inventory of Flags, Poles, & Solar Lights (Date TBD)

• Installation of Hero/Tribute Medallions on Flags (Date TBD)

• Weekly/Bi-Weekly Lawn Maintenance (Dates TBD)

• First Aid Tent Support at Various On-Site Ceremonies (Dates TBD)

• Breakdown, Inspection, & Inventory of Flags for Storage (Date TBD)
